   I thought I'd add a little about how my beads are made, simply because so many people ask.  

   Rods of glass are melted into a liquid state.  This is then wrapped around a mandrel, better known as a bit of steel.  This is then decorated to create the design you see.

    The bead is then placed into a digitally controlled kiln straight from the flame and slowly cooled over hours.  The significance of this is that when you work glass in a flame the molecules move.  If the molecules cool down too quickly they become unstable and more likely to fracture causing the bead to break. 

   After the beads have cooled they are cleaned by hand then checked for flaws as I endevour to make beads that will last and you will love.

   Please remember the articles you are buying are glass and should not be worn if cracked and should be treated with the respect you would pay any glass item.
